Nora O’Garro is a passionate “Event Planner” and the CEO and Owner of UnameIt Event Planning. Nora enjoys being a motivational speaker and is an Advanced Communicator - Bronze in Toastmasters, International.
Nora has a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, NM. She has served on the Board of Directors of two non-profit organizations – The I Have A Dream Foundation and The National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA). She is the Founder and Director of the Dallas Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) held annually on the campus of Southern Methodist University (It has existed for the last 15 years).
Nora is the wife of Colin O’Garro. She has four adult children and eight grandchildren – seven grandsons and one granddaughter (affectionally called “The Fab 7 and the Diva). Nora is a Ministry Leader for the Ladies Bible Class at Mountain View Church of Christ and was the founder of the Women’s Financial Empowerment Class. She enjoys traveling, sewing, writing poetry, sports, fitness and reading.
