Cheatum is a marketing major and is in his third year at EMU. He is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants and has helped with several events at the College of Business. She first learned about Walton College through the Accounting Career Awareness Program summer camp hosted by the diversity office when Wyatt was a junior in high school. The National Association of Black Accountants invited PSUC students to talk about the phenomenon of imposter syndrome with guest speaker Tony Rice II in the Center for Equality, Equity and Inclusion. Imposter syndrome is the phenomenon where individuals constantly doubt their accomplishments despite their success, and are afraid of being viewed as a fraud in their achievements. This phenomenon has been known to especially affect people of color because of the disconnect and inequality that still exists in the workplace today. READ MORE |

The NABA URI chapter, part of the association’s Boston Metropolitan Chapter, has enhanced its prominence through its success in the Annual Minority Business Conference’s case competition in Boston. Since the URI group was formed in 2013, it has placed at least one team of students in the top three each year, competing against such schools as Bentley, Babson, Brandeis and Boston University.
