Rosalind Danner joined New York Life in March 2015 and currently holds the position of Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer for the company-wide Information Technology Department. She is responsible for leading all financial analysis and budgeting activities, including overseeing technology spending company wide, facilitating cost containment, and supporting funding for new business driven technology initiatives.
Prior to joining New York Life, Ros held positions at McGraw Hill Financial, RJR Nabisco, Inc., Chase Manhattan Bank, American Hoechst and Arthur Andersen & Co.
Ros, a CPA, holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Upsala College and an executive master's degree in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Ros is a 2000 recipient of the Harlem YMCA’s Black Achievers in Industry Award, and was recognized in 2013 by McGraw Hill Financial with an award for outstanding commitment, accomplishment and leadership. Ros is a 2015 honoree of The Network Journal’s "25 Influential Black Women in Business”. With an active commitment to service, Ros is the Immediate Past President of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc., New York Chapter, and current President for NABA’s Eastern Region and serves as a National Board member. Ros is also the recipient of NABA’s 2016 CFO of the Year award.
A NJ native, Ros resides with her husband, Isaac, in Somerset NJ, and they are the proud parents of Jonathan, currently serving active duty in the US Navy, and Brian, a Nutritional Services Assistant at Bridgepoint Hospital and graduate student at George Washington University.
