The Leadership Development Institute is a special program offered each year during the NABA National Convention. This is no ordinary conference seminar. We partner with premier institutions to develop a signature mix of content that leverages an immersive curriculum approach to equip participants with the skills necessary for sustainable success. The program is organized into three tracks: Aspiring Leaders, Management and Executive, and a minimum of 4 years of experience is required to participate.

Session Requirements: For participants with 7 to 11 years of experience and a minimum of 3 years of management experience, MLDI Sessions are designed to motivate and inspire participants to increase performance as individuals, manage teams, and strengthen their leadership competencies. This program equips mid-level managers with the tools that will enhance their ability to motivate others, streamline processes and influence colleagues to make the best business decisions.
Discussions about the bottom line are among the most important in any organization, and no one is more central to that conversation than accounting and finance professionals. NABA members are often called upon to have frank conversations and must deliver information and guidance about sensitive matters with clarity, confidence and compassion. Even the most competent professionals don't always agree, and offering your perspective to peers, senior executive, clients, or outside stakeholders can be uncomfortable and even impact your career path. Through this session, facilitated by trainers from the popular Crucial Conversations Workshops series, learn to speak honestly and strategically while enhancing important relationships and elevating your credibility as a key partner in decision making.
