Chapters may only be formed by current members in good standing. If there is sufficient interest in a city, region or other designated area, prospective members may join then immediately form a new chapter if the minimum requirements (below) are met.
In accordance with the NABA Bylaws, a group of ten (10) or more Professional Members can petition the Board of Directors (Board) for a charter to start a new Professional Chapter of the Association in a designated area (e.g., city, geographic region). The Board may ask an existing professional chapter to supervise the formation of a new chapter. If you are interested in forming a new chapter, please contact the Membership Service Center and request a Professional Chapter Application packet.
A Student Chapter must be sponsored by a Professional Chapter and be affiliated with a specific college or university with a minimum initial group of ten (10) Student Members. While not required, it is preferred for each student chapter to have at least one Faculty Advisor. If you are interested in forming a new Student Chapter, please contact the Membership Service Center and request a Student Chapter Charter Application.
