Eugene S. Hampton II works for Consolidated Utility District of Rutherford County, Tennessee, a public utility for retail sales of water, as the Assistant Comptroller. Prior to joining CUDRC, Eugene worked for the State of Tennessee’s Comptroller of the Treasury for over 17 years as an External Auditor of Local Governments and related governmental entities.
Eugene, a CPA and a CFGM, holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Tennessee State University and a professional master's degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Eugene is a ten-year member of National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. and 14-year member of Association of Governmental Accountants. Eugene is a 2012 Nashville Emerging Leaders Finalist – Government & Public Affairs category and honored as Greek Advisor of the Year by Vanderbilt University in 2010. Eugene is a Past President of the NABA, Inc., Nashville Chapter and past Regional Treasurer of NABA, Inc., Southern Region.
