NABA Tampa - VITA Program Assistance

The Tampa Bay Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants will be partnering with the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa (CDC) for the VITA program. 
The program serves the community by offering free tax preparation services to low-to-moderate income tax payers, which provides them with an alternative to high cost tax preparation companies.
Dates: March 3rd and April 7th, 2018

NABA New York - VITA Assistance

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS… we are again requesting your time and talent for our NABA VITA sites in Corona, Queens; and Amityville, Long Island for the upcoming 2018 Tax Season.

In order to serve, volunteers MUST COMPLETE IRS online training, including VOLUNTEER STANDARDS, CONDUCT & ETHICS and the accompanying tests.
Log on to  www.LINKLEARNCERTIFICATION.COM for full details. Testing Portal and full study materials are available. Volunteers are encouraged to be certified beyond the Basic Level.  2 attempts are allowed at certification. Passing score is 80%. Email completed Exams Certificates to
Volunteers will prepare basic Federal and State returns for low-income taxpayers, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
Additional Volunteer “classroom” Training will be offered. Please reach out to the Tax Committee at for more details.

NABA Baltimore - Scholarship Breakfast

The Maryland Association of CPAs has created a scholarship in Kimberly Ellison-Taylor's name in recognition of her service as the Chairman of the American Institute of CPAs - 2016 to 2018 and as Past Chair of the Maryland Association of CPAs.

The Lambda Delta Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is a community service based organization where Kimberly has served in elected President and Vice President positions since 2010 with her term ending in June 2018.  As a community service leader, Kimberly has led a number of initiatives including cancer awareness, mental health, school supplies for kids, leadership/career training, and military service support. She is an inspiring leader and serves as a role model for many. Kimberly joined Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc in April, 1990 at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and she has served in several local, regional, and national leadership positions.  She is a Charter Member of the Anne Arundel County Alumnae Chapter.

NABA Greensboro - CPE Lunch and Learn

The CPE Lunch and Learn Session will be on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Lincoln Financial Group. This event is sponsored by CliftonLarsonAllen, LLC. The guest speaker for the Lunch and Learn is Elly Barrineau, CPA from CliftonLarsonAllen and she will speak on "Accounting Updates". Come and receive 1 hour of CPE. The Lunch and Learn is free for NABA Members.

NABA Orlando - Spring Day 2018

Calling All Professionals!

We are pleased to inform you that NABA Greater Orlando will host its 2018 Spring Day at BCU in Daytona on March 3rd from 10 AM - 3 PM.

We will have diverse speakers from all industries, a career closet, and interactions with other chapters and professional members from around the state.

NABA Career Closet: Professional members, we encourage you to participate. NABA Career closet was initiated by the Jacksonville chapter last year. It is a place where professionals can donate professional dress clothing for student members. It is our hope that all our professional members will try to support this much worthy act of kindness that may provide a helping hand to kick start our upcoming professionals' wardrobe who may be in need of appropriate career attire.
