Sherry Ann Mohan, MBA, CPA, has been a professional member of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (NABA, Inc.) since 2004 and is currently serving as Vice President of the Eastern Region and Eastern Region Representative. Sherry is also currently a member of the National Financial Literacy committee where she worked on several initiatives, including the NABA Inc.’s VITA grant application.
An active member of NABA through much of her time as a member, she has held the following roles in the NABA, Inc. New York Chapter: 2nd Vice President, Director of Tax (including VITA), Director of Student Member Services and Director of Financial Literacy.
Sherry is also active in her local Long Island community into which she has extended in the NABA NY Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. She participates in outreach to local high school students interested in pursuing careers in accounting or finance related fields via her alma mater and the NYSSCPA’s COAP program.
Sherry is a Vice President at Goldman Sachs (“GS”) where she works in the Controllers department with a focus on reporting for the firm’s bank. Before joining GS, Sherry was a Senior Auditor in Ernst & Young’s NY Financial Services Office.
Sherry holds a BS degree in CPA Accounting and Finance from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in New York State and a member of the AICPA.
