Daniel E. Worrell, MPA, CFE, CRMA, is currently serving as the Eastern Region President. Mr. Worrell has served in various NABA capacities at the student, local, regional and national levels including Regional Resource Development Director, New York Chapter’s President, Vice President and Director, and Treasurer for Medgar Evers College.
Daniel has over nineteen years of progressive experience in audit, internal controls and operational risk management with such organizations as the Office of the NYS Comptroller, a local public accounting firm, Avon Products, Time Warner and AIG. His current focus is on operations risk management and improving the effectiveness of internal controls designed to mitigate operational and financial risk. His current role is with the NYS Metropolitan Transportation Authority as Director of Internal Controls and serves as the Internal Control Officer for the MTA Capital Construction.
Daniel recognizes that many organizations are questioning the relevance of diversity in today’s environment. Daniel unwavering commitment to diversity and strengthening the profession is noted in his service as a business school advisory board member and involvement with the state society diversity council. He brings all of his rich experiences to the Association to ensure its continued growth and success.
Daniel’s educational credentials include an A.S. in Business Administration and a B.S. in Accounting from Medgar Evers College of the City University of New York (CUNY) and a Masters in Public Administration from Marist College. Additionally, Daniel is a Certified Fraud Examiner and holds a Certification in Risk Management Assurance.
